So, it´s been a pretty intense Summer Holiday for us so far, although it´s barely even begun.
Summer Holidays before Oliver were pretty darn simple, but every year I seem to have to step up my game that bit more when it comes to keeping Oliver entertained for the almost 3 months, yes you read that right, here in Spain there is almost three months of school Holidays!
Ofcourse I love having Oliver at home, but boy is it tough to keep a hyperactive five year old entertained.
It has been fiesta month here in Spain so we´ve been celebrating them all!
The first Fiesta was the San Juan Fiestas which is all about lighting bonfires and jumping over them (ok so maybe I skipped that bit.) There are also some great kids things going on, like the ´carrozas,´where kids get sweets literally chucked at them from floats!
Next there was our local International Festival, where all of the stalls from each country set up to share their traditional dishes! We went straight for Argentina and got some seriously good ´Carne a la Parilla.´
Oliver also found the local Fireman and made sure he got a good look at their Fire Truck and they were kind enough to let him try on some of their gear.
Ofcourse, the Holidays have to also be about Mum right, so I took advantage of the Hawaiian Party at a local bar and met up with my bestie and her daughter for a Hawaiian evening, complete with an amazing strawberry mojito and some good Mexican food!
During the day ofcourse we´ve been lazing it out on the beach and Oliver has been trying his hand at body-boarding, although he was adamant he´s ready to surf!
